A Fairy Tale Story
Fairy Tales have been around for centuries, and sometimes gets lost or never told. Legend has it that there's a hidden enchanted world that exists, a special place beyond your imagination further then your deepest dreams. If you travel past the moon and stars far deep in the galaxy, you will notice a tiny young star sparkling so bright, they call her "Ithika." From a distance, she appears as a star, but in a human form she is a beautiful fairy, her extraordinary appearance would take your breath away. Ithika's long purple, flowing hair smelled of delicious, ripe blueberries. Her skin glistened like a sunbeam, and her bright rosy cheeks and golden glittered wings made her appear so graceful and elegant. She is the Queen of the twilight sky, and watched over all creatures, casting warmth and light in the land of Linhart.
Everyday in Linhart was sunny, the grass twirling, and dancing to the wind, and the smells of red rose buds and mildew, fills the cool air. The water tastes so sweet, and the currents of the streams lead into the beautiful crystal clear waterfalls, which are protected by the ladies of the sea known as mermaids. There are mythological creatures that roam, Pixie fairies that fly, dragon flies that light up the night, centaurs that run free through the fields, frogs that can change form, and all creatures can communicate with each other. Beyond the rolling hills, is a magnificent kingdom and an exquisite white castle, where the kings and queens rule over all villagers, to prevent chaos and mischief. Only happiness and love exists, and anger, and evil is prohibited. Peace and warmth are among all who live in this land, and now this is where the story begins...
Once upon a time, a mother and daughter lived there lives like every other human, with the same daily routine. The Mother would scurry in the mornings, so she wouldn't be late for work, and her daughter sat around home, wishing for something new to happen. The girl was so bored in her life, and felt something was missing, little did she know that night, everything was about to change. As usual the girl sat around on the computer, or watched TV. She would talk to her friends on the phone, and waited for her mother to come home from a very busy eight hour shift, exhausted and worn out. The mother always made sure to sit with her daughter at the kitchen table, with a home cook meal, usually discussions consisted of how hectic her day was at work. So that bitter cold night after dinner, the girl said goodnight to her mother, and went up to her bedroom, and made a wish upon a star for something magical to happen. She then plopped under her white draped canopy, pulled her pink covers over her, and opened up a book, slowly her eyes felt heavy and she fell into a deep sleep.
The stars have heard the girls cry out, and "Ithaka" granted her wish. The girl awoke in the beautiful florescent green forest, there standing in the mystic fog, was a beautiful creature that almost resembled a unicorn. There were no words to describe this enchanted animal that captured her eyes. The girl knew that this had to be a dream. the delicate creature looked up to the girl and spoke "I have been brought to you by the stars in the heavens, there are more of us like myself, we are an exotic rare breed and bring love and bliss to all. The girl asked the animal" What should I call you mystical creature of the forest?" With such a monotone soft voice the animal began telling the girl all about there kind, and that they are known as the "Chinese Cresteds" they are a dog, that comes in all colors of the rainbow. The Chinese Crested explained that they are a part of the toy breed, and have been identified as almost resembling a pony. And suddenly a cast of smoke filled the air, and the exquisite Chinese Crested vanished.
The young girl was then awaken in her bed, by a bright light that shined down through her window, a shooting star swept across the sky in a flash, and then everything went back to normal. Could this really of happened, the girl thought to herself, and she opened her door and ran down the staircase as fast as her legs could carry her, to tell her mother all about the incredible dream she had. She went on and on about the magical world, and how beautiful the creature was, and her surroundings in this land, and she felt like how she imagined heaven to be.
The girl was finally able to convince her mother that they just had to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. They have seen the Crested's showing on TV, and at the dog shows, and so they started there search to find the perfect Chinese Crested, when they noticed "Sophie Rose" was available. She was a gorgeous pink spotted hairless girl, and they instantly fell in love and flew out to Florida to pick her up. She was there very first Chinese Crested and they learned soon enough that one wasn't enough. They began adding more Cresteds to there family. Through the years, the girl and her mother have had litters, and were
proud of the puppies they produced. Together they enjoyed sharing these
exotic dogs with others, and have learned that this was there calling,
to be owned by this wonderful rare breed of dogs and to continue to
enrich other peoples lives by producing beautiful representations of
the breed. For the mother and daughter this was a life changing experience, the girl was now happy that she always had her dogs around to keep her busy, and puppies to look after. And so it ends that they all lived Happily Ever After..
Fairy tales are real for believers. Some say if you look hard enough, you can sometimes spot "Ithika's" star watching over you. So now you know why they call this a "Fairy's Tale" and now it's time for me to spread my wings, and join my sister stars, back to the heavens, I hope you enjoyed the story and remember close your eyes tightly, and make a wish, because you never know when your dreams will come true.
INTRODUCTION
This story was written by Marla (myself) the idea came from the vision I had about my website, and completely from the heart, and how I felt when I got started with this breed. The Cresteds to me are magic enchanting creatures. They are so graceful and mystical. My whole life I have wanted to own this breed, and was enamored by there physical appearance. I have always enjoyed reading, and watching fairy tales, and by owning a Chinese Crested, I have finally felt all my dreams have come true. You will soon learn that having just one crested is not enough. This breed is very addicting, and they have the most wonderful dispositions. ABOUT THE BREED
Cresteds are very loyal, and loving companion pets, and owning them has been the greatest treasure anyone can ask for. As I say "cresteds are like fragile antiques, Irreplaceable and hard to find." These dogs are a rarity and one of a kind. There is NO dog like the Chinese crested. Our cresteds have brought us so much pleasure and love in our life, and it is such a privilege to be able to continue to produce the best dogs we can, and to keep the breed strong. Ellen and I are small breeders of AKC Registered Chinese Crested's. Puppies are bred, born and raised in our home to champion line parents. We do not kennel or crate our pets.
WHAT IS A CHINESE CRESTED?
Chinese Crested's are very loving, highly devoted, and extremely well behaved dogs - almost human-like, living among you, like a family member! They are not kennel dogs. They want to be near you, touching you, on you...this is the way they are! When you own a crested you learn right away that one is not enough! The fact is once you have one you will soon learn that it doesn't stop from there. This breed has the best disposition and is usually good with other animals and children. These dogs have played a very important part of our lives and we continue to make other peoples lives enriched by having the opportunity to be owned by this incredible breed of dogs.
