Welcome to R Crested Tails we are located in the state of Michigan, and have only one breed that we raise and that is the "Chinese Cresteds." Ellen and Marla are a mother daughter Duo who take pride in producing only Quality, sound, socialized puppies from Top world Champion bloodlines. All of our dogs have been health tested and certified normal for Patella's. We OFA, Cerf, and PRA. My dogs were all very carefully selected for my breeding program. We do careful selective breedings to try and produce Healthy dogs that conform to the best of standards. Puppies are raised in our home with Lots of Love and TLC. We are currently working on showing our cresteds, they also participate in professional modeling, obedience, and therapy work. Cresteds are NOT a Kennel dog, and are treated as part of the family! We offer Hairless and Full Coated Varieties to choose from, pet and show prospects which will be evaluated prior to placement. All pups are given appropriate age vaccinations, Dew-Claws removed, vet checked, and a 1 Year Health Guarantee before leaving us. Each pup will come with a pair of Pawjamas. Customer Satisfaction is very important to us, and we will be here for you throughout the puppies lifetime. References are available!
We are always asked how did we get into breeding Chinese cresteds? Our very first Crested PeeWee was a rescue Chinese Crested. He was left outside in the cold as a guard dog and luckily was saved and brought into our lives. He was our best friend and although he wasnt the most beautiful looking dog, his disposition and unconditional love is what got us hooked on this breed. Ellen and I have always been very passionate about animals. We have always owned pets, and have been very involved in animal rescue, to help save homeless dogs from euthanasia, and always taking in strays and placing them in forever homes. The Cresteds have always caught our eye since we first saw them at a dog show prancing around like a little pony, and after PeeWee passed away we knew we had to have a Chinese Crested. As you will learn with this breed One is never enough. Ellen and I have always found the Cresteds be very exotic, unique, and magical . Cresteds are very loyal, and loving companion pets, and owning them has been the greatest pleasure anyone can ask for. As I say "Cresteds are like fragile antiques, irreplaceable and hard to find." These dogs are a rarity and one of a kind. There is NO dog like the Chinese crested, It is so fascinating when the mothers have litters, you never know what you will get. They can produce two different types of puppies a "hairless" and a "powder puff." (Full Coated) which looks like a miniature afghan. These dogs are perfect for people who have allergies and these dogs will keep you warm at night like a heating pad! Thank you for visiting our website! Parents are Show quality and have proven championed pedigrees, and puppy shows no major faults to date, and are good examples of the breed, show potential pups can be sold with Limited or Full AKC.
Definition of Pet/Companion:
May have a faults which enables the dog to participate in the conformation show ring. Companion pets can participate in performance events (ie) Agility or Therapy work. Very Healthy makes wonderful pets. Sold with Limited AKC only with spay agreements.
